Primos–Hermanos (Cousins) was a group exhibition by Andrés Aguilar, Daniela Aguilar, Juan Carlos Delatorre Bouvet, and Fernando Palomar, presented at Estudio Parque Juan Diego as part of GDL ART WKND 2022. Curated by Patrick Charpenel and Alejandra Jaimes, the show explored the idea of family and community, understood not only through the blood ties between some of the participants, but also through the complex relationships established between the artworks. Using diverse languages and media, the exhibition fostered a dialogue between the practices of the four artists, articulating an exhibition experience where affinities, contrasts, and connections between the pieces constructed the curatorial discourse. As part of the project, a sound installation by Andrés Aguilar, accompanied on piano by Fernando Palomar, was presented, integrating performance into the exhibition experience.
Omar Guerra M es artista plástico, curador independiente y gestor cultural con una trayectoria enfocada en el diseño, puesta en marcha y consolidación de proyectos de arte contemporáneo con visión de largo plazo.
Se formó en Medios Audiovisuales en Guadalajara y complementó su formación en el programa Corpus Callosum, dirigido por Guillermo Santamarina, así como en estudios de Historia del Arte en el Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) de Nueva York. Estas experiencias consolidaron una mirada crítica orientada a las prácticas contemporáneas, el trabajo interdisciplinario y la articulación entre contextos locales e internacionales.
Desde finales de los años noventa ha participado activamente en la configuración del ecosistema de arte contemporáneo en Guadalajara, cofundando el colectivo Jalarte A.I., Galería 390 x 240, Proyecto Inn-Box y Artere-a.
Como artista, su obra ha sido exhibida en museos y espacios de México, Estados Unidos, Europa y América Latina, y publicada en medios especializados como New York Art Magazine y Artishock. Su trabajo se ha presentado, entre otros, en el Armory Center for the Arts, Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, 407 Gallery, Ex Teresa Arte Actual, Steppling Art Gallery, Museo Cabañas, Nodo Caracas, Tyller Gallery, Museo de Arte de Zapopan, Galería Tiro al Blanco y Museo de las Artes.

Andrés Aguilar Martínez Negrete develops a multidisciplinary practice spanning sound art, music, architecture and visual experimentation. His work is characterized by the way it links artistic production, sound, archive and collaboration, continually expanding the boundaries between disciplines. In Primos–Hermanos, his contribution brought together musical composition, photography and performance, drawing the exhibition toward a sonic and performative experience.
Andrés Aguilar Martínez Negrete
Juan Carlos Delatorre Bouvet is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans drawing, sculpture, photography, video and object art. His work returns again and again to geometry, repetition, architecture and the relationships between image, space and sound. In Primos–Hermanos he presented a series of drawings based on abstract calligraphy, establishing a graphic counterpoint to Daniela's and Andrés's material and sonic practices.
